First of all, I knew that shit was gonna happen. In fact, I had forgotten about us having an 8pm date on Saturday because I knew he would bail. I don’t know if it was supposed to be a date or not. We’ll just call it a hanging out session.

BUT.

This is not the first “someone died and now we can’t meet” text that I have gotten. Or something along those lines. I’ve gotten 4 of these that I can recall right off the top of my head and I know that there are a few more lurking about. That’s kind of a lot.

Girl, Stop. The reason I think these are bullshit excuses is because they always appear less than 3 hours before the scheduled meet up time. What the fuck. Like, you didn’t know you were going to a funeral before that time??
