Hyuna, stop it already ok?  Just stop.

Remember when this guy got kicked out of Big Bang (on their Making the Band-inspired documentary) because he was unable to change his facial expressions? He still cannot move his face! Hahaha. He would probably have this facial expression as he was falling off a mountain, or if a lot of people jumped out from behind a door for his surprise birthday party. Well, it worked out OK, because he is now in B2ST. B2ST is no Big Bang, but they’re really popular with my students and have a couple good songs. His name is Seung Hyun (which is easy to remember because he and TOP have the exact same name) and he is really, really good-looking. 

As for Hyun-A, I don’t know… I really like 4Minute but her solo stuff isn’t as good. I agree with Simon and Martina that she’s just trying way too hard to be sexy. She looks kind of silly. She’s crossed the line from sexy to trashy in terms of her dancing and her outfits (why does she always wear such awful outfits in her solo videos? I know it’s not her fault because Kpop stars are like slaves to their companies, but seriously, Hyun-A’s stylist, come on. Just for once give her something without visible undergarments and leopard print to wear.)  The song is good, though. I like the furniture.

And now I’m going to disagree with everyone who thinks Hyuna’s sexy is too “try hard”. Girl wants to be sexy, and that is amazing. Do you know how much confidence it takes to act sexy? To present yourself in a “sexy” way? I can’t do it (obviously). That in of itself is sexy, you know? CONFIDENCE. Hyuna may have no ass, but I love her short dresses, skirts and shorts, and I love her songs because she is being sexy regardless. Even if it’s just a product of her company, Hyuna is still cool in my books. Be sexy, girl, and I will love you. (Plus, she really does rock those minis and heels in ways I wish I could.)

I also respect Hyun-A’s sexiness. And for continuing to challenge Korean censorship laws. I love anyone who sticks it to the man. I’m sure most women and most men who watch this think that it is ‘sexy’ but for me personally, I prefer a more subtle sexiness. Seeing her underwear multiple times in a video and her rubbing herself all over the guy doesn’t personally appeal to my fancies, but I don’t have a problem with it. It just doesn’t appeal to me personally.

I think her hottest video is “HuH” and I think I might like it better because it’s like they’re being sexy for themselves, because they want to, not because there’s a hot guy in a leopard-print jacket added into the equation. Girl groups are so fierce. Their dancing in this video is so good. But I also like the parts in “Trouble Maker” when Hyun-A and Hyun Seung do their synchronized dancing. She is definitely talented. But I don’t need to be able to see up her skirt to appreciate her capabilities. 

Also, let me add that I am just constantly amazed by what Korean pop stars can make look good and fashionable. In “HuH,” they look amazing in car mechanic uniforms. And I recently saw a picture of Dara from 2NE1 in New York wearing a potato sack dress and looking awesome. I can’t even find a romper/one-piece that doesn’t make me look lumpy.

This song is killer, by the way- just heard it FOUR TIMES within an hour and a half at my gym. I think Trainer Brian must be a big fan. 

Hyuna is my girl! Seriously, she is the hottest and fiercest bitch around. I love all of her songs and I always wanna bang her when I see her vids. She can do no wrong.

However, I do agree with firing her stylist. I just think some of her clothes are super fug or look like they’re from some wack ass time in the 90’s. It doesn’t really matter what she wears though, she’s still gorgeous.

I did see an interview with her after she came out with “Change” (my fav song!!). She was doing the quiet talking cutesy thing and was saying how the dance was so embarrassing to do at first. She then “taught” the people interviewing her how to do the dance. But she seemed so awwwwwwkward! The Hyuna on stage and the Hyuna in real life definitely did not appear to be same-same in that particular interview. She was also younger then and it was her first solo track, so I guess that had an effect on her too.

I really really really hope she is this sexy, hot, and fierce in person as she appears to be in her videos and on stage. Korean girls need to see people in real life being confident in themselves and their sexuality. There are plenty of hos prancing around in videos, but it’s harder to find fierce bitches in the real world.
